Professor Valentino has delivered numerous presentation to libraries and clubs. The topics of these talks have ranged from Karankawa cannibalism to various aspects of his books, such as a sense of place, or women's role in nineteenth century society. On Saturday, October the 12th, 2019, Texas Authors will be having a book festival at the Galveston Convention center on Seawall Boulevard. I will be selling my three books there and would love to see you at the festival to discuss them. Dave Ward, venerable news anchor at channel 13 will be there as well selling his book.

On Saturday, March 24th Mr. Valentino will be at a Texas Author's event at Ball High School in Galveston. He will not deliver a presentation but will have a table to discuss and sell his books.

6/15/17

On  June 15th Professor Valentino will be in the delightful hamlet of Eastport, Maine to address the Border Historical Society. Its title is From Maine to Galveston, Republic of Texas: A nineteenth Century Tale of Cultural Transformation.

6/16/17

On Friday, June 16th James will address the St. Croix Historical Society in Calais, Maine. the address will be similiar to the presentation given at Eastport, but with an additional emphasis on the persons and ships that Lucy mentioned that concerned Calais.
